Alert RJ26-85 Scrap Metal Shear
This Heavy Duty Alligator Shear from Alert is one of the Larger models from our range. With 85 Tonnes cutting force these electro-hydraulic Alligator shears are suitable for anything from light to medium gauge Ferrous and heavy Non ferrous materials.
Fast operation of this shear is accomplished with a double hydraulic gear pump system, providing high flow / low pressure initially, then switching to low flow to give the high pressure required to cut. The high pressure pump also provides power for the hydraulic hold down.
With extra heavy duty serated bottom blade and a straight top blade , the material is normally prevented from "walking away" from the pivot point, increasing cutting efficencies.
The RJ26-85 Shears are ideal for cutting heavy reinforcing bar, up to 25 x 100mm Mild Steel flat bar, mesh material up to 500mm wide and up to 45mm diameter round bar.
To make the unit more (safely) manoeuvrable two forkhoist pockets are mounted under the shear, thus creating a safer work enviroment and maximising production.
